Fancy Doggies

Every year growing up during the holidays, my family would have a potluck where each of us kids had to contribute something to the meal. Being the youngest, they didn't trust me with the main course...actually now that I think about it, they still don't even as an adult. A little insulting, but at least now my appetizer game is strong. Fancy Doggies is one of my favorite appetizers to prepare because it is a quick and easy recipe that is always a big hit. I highly recommend making this appetizer with LBA's hot dogs. They're extremely flavorful and a customer favorite product! We even have some customers who will drive from Redwood City just to pick up a pack (or three).

Ingredients:

8 LBA Hot Dogs

($18.50 for a frozen pack of 25 Hot Dogs)

2 Crescent Roll Butter Flake

20 Jalapenos

1 cup of Cheddar Cheese

1 cup of Parmesan Cheese

5 garlic cloves

Minced

4 Tablespoons of Butter

Melted

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 15 minutes

Step 1:

Cut the hot dogs in half and place the halves in the middle of the Cresent Roll.

Step 2:

Place 2 jalopeanos on half the doggies.

Step 3:

In a microwave safe container mix the garlic and butter. Place in the microwave for 30-45 seconds (or until the butter is melted).

Step 4:

Brush the butter and garlic mix onto the half of Hot Dogs that do not have the jalopeanos.

Step 5:

Preheat oven at 375 degrees. Once it is heated, place the doggies in the oven for 10 minutes.

Step 6:

Remove the doggies and sprinkle the jalopeano doggies with chedder cheese and the garlic doggies with parmeasan cheese. Then place them back in the oven for 3-5 minutes (or until they are golden brown).

Step 7:

Serve and sit back with a glass of wine while enjoying that you're not incharge of the main course!

Yummy Tip: If you have remaining ingredients spread the garlic and butter mixture on french bread and top with jalopeanos and chedder cheese as an extra yummy treat for your guest.

*You can purchase LBA's Beef Hot Dogs Monday - Friday 9:00am- 5:00pm.
